VERT - The Flight Simulator for radiation therapy

As satisfied users of the VERT system at Inholland University, we highly recommend this virtual treatment room for radiotherapy, which supports both photons and protons. Having utilized the photons linear accelerator for several years, we are excited to use the proton machine in our upcoming proton therapy Fundamentals course.

With its 3D visualization tools and advanced simulation capabilities, the VERT system effectively facilitates students’ understanding of the complexities of radiation therapy. Additionally, simulating the workflow in a virtual treatment room enhances training outcomes and can be beneficial outside of the radiotherapy department, resulting in improved patient outcomes and decreased errors.

Moreover, the VERT system’s intuitive interface and user-friendly design make it easy for novice users to learn and operate. Overall, the VERT system is an invaluable tool for any radiotherapy training facility, providing advanced simulation capabilities, integrated photon and proton treatment planning, and ease of use, which all contribute to improving patient care and outcomes.
